Back in the "old days", before we switched things around with our “Book Lovers Unite!” events, Mr B’s played host to a multitude of fantastic authors talking about their work either in the shop or at venues such as the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute or the Mission Theatre.

Every November since 2008 we have held a special Miles Kington evening in honour of one of Britian’s finest humourists and one of Mr B’s earliest supporters. Each year we celebrate Miles’s hilarious writing, which always sees the BRLSI on Queen’s Square packed to the rafters with excitable laughter and an enthusiastic audience. Miles’s wife Caroline has led each event and has been joined by a whole host of special guest performers including Stephanie Cole, Dr Phil Hammond, Elliot Russo and Isabel Brook.
