Great
children's section
We have a colourful
kids' section selling a unique range of beautiful toys, audio books
and of course lots and lots of magical and fantastical story books for all
ages.
There's plenty of space for buggies and a couple of chairs for little
kids.
Country of the Month
Each month or so, Mr B's Book Monkey swings by a different country
to learn about its literature. He reports back with a knapsack full
of goodies for Mr B to introduce to his customers. These can be
found displayed in the window as well as over the fireplace in our
downstairs room.
So far we have brought
to your table delights from The Czech Republic, Japan, Argentina,
Sweden, Portugal, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Canada and Nigeria.
Independent Publisher of the Month
We are
also keen to draw your attention to some wonderful, independent publishers
you may not yet have heard of - publishers such as Winged Chariot Press
(gorgeous translated children's books), Eland (re-publishing classic
travel writing), Earworms (music language learning CDs), Archipelago Press
(not-for-profit literary press from the U.S.) and one of the UK's newest
names in great publishing, Snow Books.
